Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by supporting middle school students who use sign language for communication in an inclusive classroom environment. You'll facilitate learning and social participation for two students in a multi-categorical class—one of whom is on the autism spectrum and benefits from additional behavioral support. Your primary responsibility is to provide interpreting services so both students can fully participate in classroom activities. The behavioral aspects are expertly managed by another staff member, so you can focus on effective communication.
This full-time contract opportunity runs through May 27th, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. If you prefer additional behavioral or CPI training, the lead interpreter can coordinate that with the district. The students generally attend all their classes together; for the one class they have separately, you’ll tailor your support as needed.
